Take breath! and analyze the mistakes and move on. Rather worrying about past, I will suggest focussing on future things.
There are basically four options are in front of me apart from GATE.
1. Apply for PG entrance of IIIT Hyderabad and BITS (They conduct their own exams for M.Tech admissions).

2. If your rank is around 2000 to 2500, I would suggest applying all the IITs because there is maximum chance to get admission in 3-year M.Tech/ MS-by-Research.
3. If your aim to settle govt gobs, start preparing state and central govt jobs like ISRO, BARC, TSPSC, APPSC, UPPSC, MPPSC etc.
4. If you are strong in your fundamentals and motivated to pursue research as the career, I would suggest applying direct Ph.D. admission for those who qualified GATE with less score(around 500 to 600). (There is bright chance to get selected).
